Paintball, Huntington Beach 2008 NPPL event part 3 - brought to you by EMPIRE PAINTBALL and RPS PAINTBALLS. Final day, semis and finals. X FACTOR vs AVALANCHE.

Paintball has become a hugely popular sport, and so it only makes sense that with the dramatic increase in participants and increased demand for equipment, that there would be an increase in paintball supply to cater to this growing market. Paintball supply is a general term that is equivalent to "paintball store" or sponsor. A paintball supply is a store, either physical or online, where one can get any type of supplies needed.

Many paintball supply places will often times have a "package deal" for those just getting into the sport. This can include a gun with ammonition, goggles, or any collection of equipment needed by anyone before going out to join a paintball game. Part of what makes a paintball supply useful is not only do they offer equipment at every level of pricing, from the cheapest paintball markers to the most expensive ones, but paintball markers can often be upgraded in many ways: the barrel, the air tank, the ammo holder, the sights, all of these things can be changed and upgraded, and a paintball supply will have all the necessary parts, pieces, and experience to do so.

A paintball gun package is not a bad way for a beginner to start off, if the beginner has done enough work to have a vague idea of what they want. The paintball guns often come with gravity-fed hoppers ranging from a hundred rounds and up (and know your style: if you are a sniper, don't pay an extra $20 for a hopper that holds another 100 rounds of ammo). Paintball supply places will have experts to help you out, but that can only be so helpful. You have to have a basic idea of what you're looking for or how deep your interest is, and beyond that don't discount an expert's advice too quickly. They can save you a lot of grief.

Paintball supplies such as barrels, goggles and safety gear, ball hauling, loaders, gun accessories, clothing and apparel, and even odd ball odds and ends such as paintball mines are often available from a paintball supply. Much of this can be bought online, though if you have a paintball supply in your area, you should visit the store in person, especially if you are a newbie.

A paintball supply is also likely to be the local hang out for individuals who are really into the paintball scene in general. This can help teach you the lingo, you can listen to what products are really impressing, and which ones are falling flat. These players will also have an idea of any major events going on in the area, or might even know about some great get together or paintball fields you didn't even know existed. If nothing else, it never hurts to absorb wisdom from the experts, so that you will know what you are doing and have more confidence as you go further and further into the paintball world.

A paintball supply is a place that can serve all your needs, both for equipment, and for camaraderie. Don't dismiss it off hand, because you never know what that one afternoon trip to the paintball supply could turn into.

Yes, a paintball bazooka does look cool, and against a stand still target, a paintball bazooka will own. Unfortunately paintball bazookas are simply too impractical, and will not be a good option on the paintball field.

First of all, most fields will not allow you to use a paintball bazooka. So unless you frequently play bush ball outside of a public paintball venue, your big bad bazooka will just sit on the shelf. And Even paintball fields allowed paintball bazookas. These bazooka have incredibly low firing rates.... about as low as possible. You load it up, then fire, then you have to load it up again. Furthermore, bazookas have ridiculously low accuracy. Of course, players can counter the low accuracy problem by loading up a TON of paintballs. But that ton of paintballs that you put into a paintball bazooka will be costing you. And for one shot, the price is not worth it, especially since the shot will not be that useful in your playing experience.

Paintball Fields Do Not Permit Paintball Bazookas
It's true. You will have an incredibly tough time finding any public paintball field that will let these guns on to their field. Paintball fields do occasionally allow the use of a paintball bazooka, but it is always for some sort of specific scenario, and permission from the paintball field must always be granted. If a player is lucky, he'll be allowed to play a game or two with these guns, but they are really a novelty item. So while people will think that including a paintball bazooka will be cool for the short term, eventually (and usually not that far into the future) people will return to the use of standard paintball guns.

Paintball Bazookas Have a Low Firing Rate
The majority of the time you spend with a paintball bazooka will be spent reloading the barrel. It takes a good couple minutes to load ammunition into a paintball bazooka, and then yes, you get to aim and fire. But then what? The process starts all over again. Can you imagine how vulnerable you are while reloading a bazooka. A paintball player with a bazooka usually lasts a very short period of time. The only exception is when that player is being protected by other players. But the fact that a bazooka will fire at such a slow rate, due to long reloading time, makes these paintball guns near useless.

The Accuracy of 'em is Nothing to Write Home About!
And that is an understatement! Close range, and tons of ammunition are the only ways to have good success with a paintball bazooka. These guns are accurate for about 15-20 feet, after that, paintballs will dive in all sorts of directions. If paintballs are going in all sorts of directions, won't that be hard for opponents to dodge? Well yes, this is clearly the only significant advantage of one of these beasts. A single shot will fire a large area of paintballs. Of course, an opponent will easily be able to see the beast of a paintball gun looking at him, and will probably find some sort of cover. That being said, I don't want to take this away from these big guns, because its really all they have got.

They Are Expensive!
First of all, a paintball bazooka will cost a fair bit. If you look around some deals on the internet, you can find one of these guns for a little less than 400 dollars. But wow, that is still a lot of money. A player could buy a decent paintball gun for that price. But not only is the bazooka expensive, it will be hard to spend a little on the paintball ammunition you will need to feed it. Some players jam up to 1000 paintballs into one of these bad boys. Which is pretty cool, and will have a devastating effect against your paintball opponents. But at what cost? Can anyone really afford to spend 25 dollars or so for every single shot? Maybe you can, but I would never waste that kind of money for so little gain.

They Are Massive!
Most people think that this is an awesome feature of paintball bazookas. But I will have to disagree..... Paintball is a game of speed and stealth, and these mammoths prevent both. Opposing players will be able to notice you a mile away, and it will be hard to move quickly with a large and heavy object protruding from your back.

Conclusion
Paintball Bazookas are a cool novelty item, but the novelty will wear off relatively quickly. They are simply too impractical, and too expensive to invest in. Of course, if you get the chance to try one, then go for it. Just make sure that you are not footing the bill for the mass of wasted paintballs.

As paintball has progressed into a serious sport there have came along new gun designs.  The whole idea in paintball is to be able to shoot accurately and fast.  Anything that weighs a player down is not good.  A gun that is hard to aim or hinders movement is also not a good thing.  That is why the paintball pistol was designed.  The small and easy to carry design of a paintball pistol makes it ideal for a player looking to improve their mobility on the playing field.

A paintball pistol is smaller and more compact than a paintball rifle.  A paintball pistol or paintball hand gun offers a player the ability to hold their gun in the hand as they move about.  They do not have to position the gun as with a rifle.  The paintball pistol also makes firing on the move easier as aiming is made simpler.  Marker paintball pistols are a great way to add speed to the game.

There are many options in paintball pistols.  One option is the type or manufacturer.  Zeus paintball pistols are a great place to start when looking for a good manufacturer.  There are also options like a paintball pistol holder.  This can make movement across a long stretch easier since the pistol can be put I the holster and lets the player move without fear of dropping it.

Besides Zeus there is also Tiberius paintball pistols and Black Bird paintball pistols.  There are many options for paintball pistols with holsters, too.  It is in the players best interest to shop around before making a choice.

Paintball pistols add something to a players game.  Taking that leap form the traditional rifle offers the player more freedom and flexibility in their game.  They are no longer held back by carrying a large rifle.  They can now fire easily if they are on the move and get caught in a compromising situation.  A pistol can really impact the game in a positive way.
